OUR PROJECT

AIC Energy Corp is developing the first of it kind renewable fuels biofuels production facility with a focus on “sustainable aviation fuel” (SAF) i.e., renewable jet fuel. Hence the project name:

SAFuels X

SAFuels X is designed for feedstock flexibility:
100% soybean, 100% canola or all blended concentrations in between. Sited in the heart of the North American growing region of both crops, it has a nameplate processing capacity of 100 million gallons per year or 6,500 barrels per day.

The project is in FEL3 project phase stage of Chemex Global as its Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contractor.

Only 6% of soybeans remaining in state. There is more than an adequate supply, even beyond the already announced crushing plant at Casselton, for additional oil-seed crush plant capacity to supply the SAFX plant at Trenton.

ND grows

80+% of USA’s production domestic production is not enough to meet domestic consumer demand for food-grade canola oil. As the Pacific Northwest, Southern Great Plains and mid-South increase acreage, more domestic crush plant facilities will be built to supplement several major canola crush plant additions announced in southern Canada, whose announced expanded locations are directly linked to Trenton by rail.

By Definition

ND Farmers Union are team players and warmly welcome new opportunities for their crops. Led by President Mark Watne, the project has benefited from the insights and input from their members and management. Area farmers frequently shared their enthusiasm for our project and an opportunity for more “value added” processing in our state.
