Security fence is a sunk cost.  A perimeter road = around the inside or outside of the fence for inspection of the fence is = a security precaution.  Sunk cost.

 

Do you = really want a berm 6 foot high 10 foot wide at the base (that=E2=80=99s = an awlful steep 2 sidewalls without support if you think it is going to = be wide enough to support the installation of a security fence on top of = it.    And you are going to need to be able to inspect = the fence periodically for breaches even if you have perimeter cameras. = And how will that work to satisfy the landscape requirements of the = CUP?  AIC ENGlobal Interstate JLG Keitu    This is = our first test of teamwork to address all the aspects of the = perimeter.   I would recommend Video = conference.

Didn't = you say that we will need to have a perimeter road now around the inside = of the fence?  So now we are even wider than the berm would have = been.  

 

ENGlobal is getting direction from Interstate, Keitu, = and AIC.  They are more than confused. And the estimate is still = being delayed by the plot plan.  At $300,000 dollars a day = impact.  

 

All I wanted was confirmation for ENGlobal  on = what the wetlands meant and for Maria on the berm = dimensions.

We are not = doing anything more than required.  Condition #2 in your CUP = specifies 10 foot wide 6 foot high buffer strip where the adjacent = property is not light or heavy industrial so east side and south side = perimeters.  4000+ feet.

  1. What type of = material will the visual barrier fence be made of? Not sure.  Not there yet.  If there is = anything you wish us to avoid, please advise.  We will NOT be using = a chain link fence with inserted metal or plastic slats.  Trying to = get ENGlobal and Interstate Engineering on a common understanding of the = perimeter fence and road locations and construction requirements so they = can finish plant layout and grading plan for submission and = approval.
  2. Please send over your landscaping plan = when that is finalized. We want to ensure all plants are indigenous. = Also, that you have a maintenance plan. Not there yet on that one = either.
  3. Have you been able to calculate the = percentage of landscaped/pervious area on the site?  With = the setbacks consistent with the existing easements along the east side = and south side perimeter, we will already meet the 5% landscape = requirement.  And that does not include the expected easement along = the south side of 42nd St (i.e. our sites northern perimeter) and/or = landscaping around the administration building.  Nor does it = include the open area in and around the two wetland areas along the east = side of the property that the USDA will require us to protect, even = though US Army COE said they are = non-jurisdictional.
